Containers Printers Pte Ltd is a Singapore-based manufacturer of metal and flexible packaging, trusted by leading nutrition and consumer brands as their preferred total packaging solutions provider. We are growing our Product Development team to lead innovation in sustainable, high-performance packaging.

The Role

You will lead new product and process development from concept to qualification, partnering with customers and internal stakeholders on packaging structures, materials, and process improvements. You'll also help shape our sustainability and innovation roadmap, including recyclable and PFAS-free packaging solutions.

What You'll Do

• Lead new product/process development from customer or internal specifications to final qualification
• Establish quality checkpoints, testing protocols and control plans for new materials and products
• Source and qualify new raw materials, suppliers and production lines with Supply Chain Management
• Drive sustainability initiatives (PFAS-free, recyclable/mono-material packaging)
• Supervise and develop a team of engineers
• Ensure compliance with food-contact packaging and quality/safety standards (FSSC 22000, BRCGS, ISO 9001/14001/45001)

What We're Looking For

• Degree in Chemical Engineering, Material Science, Polymer Science or Chemistry (Masters in Packaging/Polymer Engineering an advantage)
• At least 5 years' experience in product development or process engineering, ideally in packaging or a related manufacturing sector
• Process knowledge in film, coating, lamination and printing
• Experience with control plans, technical drawings, BOMs and process routings
• Strong problem-solving, communication and stakeholder management skills

• Mandatory Singapore experience (minimum 5 years) in a Singapore SME company

• Experience managing teams, KPIs, operations, and departmental performance

• Good understanding of Singapore employment practices and regulations
• Monitors departmental budgets, optimizes resource utilization, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements
• Fosters cross-functional collaboration to improve productivity, quality, and timely delivery of business objectives
• Digitally savvy with willingness to learn, explore, and apply AI tools, business applications, and digital solutions to improve productivity and operational effectiveness
• Proactive and solution-oriented; anticipates challenges, drives continuous improvement, and delivers results through effective execution
• Demonstrates professionalism, maturity, strong presentation skills, sound judgement, and high sense of responsibility in leading teams and managing stakeholders
