Assistant Professor - Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine
Join the forefront of groundbreaking research at City of Hope where we're changing lives and making a real difference in the fight against cancer, diabetes, and other life-threatening illnesses. Our dedicated and compassionate faculty and staff are driven by a common mission\: Contribute to innovative approaches in predicting, preventing, and curing diseases, shaping the future of medicine through cutting-edge research.
A Tenured-track Assistant Professor opportunity is immediately available in the Department of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at the Beckman Research Institute (BRI) at City of Hope.
The Department of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine at City of Hope brings together investigators across diverse disciplines who are united by a common mission\: to uncover the biological mechanisms that govern stem cell function, tissue regeneration, aging, and cancer, and to translate these discoveries into innovative therapies for patients. Research programs span hematopoiesis, neurodegenerative disease, immuno-oncology, cancer biology, cardio-oncology, aging, and genetic disorders, leveraging advanced technologies including single-cell genomics, organoids and 3D disease models, gene editing, induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs), systems biology, and high-resolution imaging. Faculty collaborate closely with computational scientists, clinicians, and translational researchers to accelerate the development of novel diagnostics, therapeutics, and regenerative medicine approaches.
This is an excellent opportunity for a talented early career investigator with a strong focus on hematopoiesis, 3D-models of hematopoietic diseases and translational therapies to join the vibrant Department of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine directed by Nadia Carlesso, MD/PhD.
