Assistant Project Engineer/ Project Engineer
Responsibilities:
- Assist Project Manager in the planning, design and day-to-day running of foundation/geotechnical engineering projects.
- Preparation of design calculations and technical drawings for the projects.
- Determine operation requirements and to assist Project Manager in preparing project schedule.
- Ensure timely delivery of projects according to schedule.
- Updating of project records for reporting purposes and submission of reports.
- Attend site meetings and resolve technical/operational issues independently.
- Undertake ad-hoc duties assigned by Project Manager related to project execution.
- Prepare and implement the Project Quality Plan, Inspection and Testing Plan (ITP), and relevant quality checklists.
- Conduct pre-inspections of work and witness tests to ensure compliance with project specifications, method statements, and contract requirements.
- Compile and submit all QA/QC documents, inspection reports, test results, and other quality records.
- Address quality issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions for non-conformances.
- Liaise with the client, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders for the execution of works.
Requirements:
- Candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or its equivalent from a PE Board recognized university
- Able to work in a fast-paced work environment and have a passion in foundation/ geotechnical engineering works
- Excellent team player, good interpersonal skills and a “can-do” attitude
- Meticulous, organised and proactive
- Willing to work on construction sites and prepared to travel across different construction sites to monitor progress of different projects when required
- Able to work independently with minimum guidance and under pressure to meet tight deadlines
