Summary

Assists a Project Manager in coordinating and delivering construction or infrastructure projects, tracking progress, risks, and stakeholder communications.

The Assistant Project Manager supports the Project Manager in the planning, coordination, and delivery of the project. The role assists in managing project activities, monitoring progress, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, tracking risks and actions, and ensuring project objectives are achieved in accordance with the agreed scope, programme, budget, quality, and client requirements.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager in the day-to-day management of the project.
  • Coordinate activities between design consultants, and client representatives.
  • Monitor project programme, milestones, and deliverables, highlighting any delays or risks.
  • Prepare and maintain project reports, dashboards, meeting minutes, and action trackers.
  • Assist in managing project scope, change requests, and risk registers.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary design reviews and ensure timely resolution of technical issues.
  • Monitor consultant performance against contractual obligations.
  • Support the review of design deliverables for completeness and compliance with project requirements.
  • Assist with procurement activities, technical evaluations, and contract administration as required.
  • Coordinate stakeholder meetings, workshops, and client presentations.
  • Monitor project documentation and ensure proper document control procedures are followed.
  • Support quality assurance and compliance with project management procedures.
  • Assist during construction by coordinating responses to RFIs, reviewing progress, and tracking outstanding actions.
  • Support project close-out activities, including handover documentation, lessons learned, and final reporting.

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.
  • A Master's degree is an advantage.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in project management or project coordination.
  • Experience on large-scale building, stadium, infrastructure, or mixed-use developments.
  • Experience working with multidisciplinary consultant teams.
  • Familiarity with all project phases from design through handover
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification is preferred.
  • Good understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
  • Knowledge of design coordination, and contract administration.
