Assistant Project Manager - Fit-Out
Summary
Supports large-scale data center fit-out construction as an assistant project manager: preparing documentation, daily logs, and cost/schedule trackers while coordinating clients, general contractors, and vendors, and supporting safety and quality inspections. Core tools include MS Office, Procore, Bluebeam, and Primavera.
- Project Documentation & Reporting
- Prepare and distribute detailed meeting notes for internal and client meetings.
- Maintain accurate daily logs, project trackers, and organized photo documentation.
- Support project controls, including cost tracking, change management, and schedule updates.
- Respond promptly to client and internal inquiries regarding reports, logs, and documentation.
- Fit-Out focused construction coordination, aligning stakeholders and field employees.
- Assist in tracking and managing project schedules, ensuring timely delivery of milestones.
- Coordinate OFCI (Owner-Furnished, Contractor-Installed) equipment deliveries and verify readiness with vendors.
- Support submittal and RFI workflows in collaboration with the Project Manager and field teams.
- Participate in design and constructability reviews to identify potential issues and solutions.
- Conduct or participate in weekly jobsite walks and safety inspections.
- Support implementation of client safety programs and verify compliance with site protocols.
- Attend third-party and client inspections, documenting and escalating issues when required.
- Maintain alignment with quality and safety culture on every project.
- Foster professional relationships with the client and General Contractor to ensure open communication.
- Track weekly GC schedule updates and proactively flag impacts or risks.
- Assist in client site visit coordination, tours, and reporting.
- Contribute to Continuous Improvement and Lessons Learned documentation.
- Experience: 3-4 years in fit-out construction, engineering, or facilities management preferred. Data center or MEP exposure is a plus.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in MS Office Suite; familiarity with project management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, or Primavera is an advantage.

- Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, twist, bend, and climb stairs or ladders for extended periods while navigating uneven, unpaved, or obstructed terrain.
- Must be able to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
- Must be able to drive between job sites and access all areas of an active construction zone, including raised platforms, scaffolding, and confined spaces.
- Must be able to tolerate exposure to outdoor weather conditions, dust, and construction-related noise, vibrations, and odors.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with contractors, engineers, and site personnel, and maintain situational awareness in high-activity environments.
- Personal protective equipment (PPE), including hard hats, safety vests, hearing protection, and steel-toe boots, is required.
- Must have sufficient visual acuity to read drawings, specifications, and safety signage, and to observe site activity.
