Assistant Project Manager- M.E.(Struct)

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Project Manager (Structural Engineering) with an M.E. in Structural Engineering and 13-15 years of experience in the design, execution, and management of large-scale residential, commercial, industrial, and infrastructure projects. The incumbent will assist the Project Manager in overseeing project planning, structural design coordination, construction supervision, stakeholder management, quality assurance, and timely project delivery while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Execution

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, and executing structural engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Develop project schedules, resource plans, and execution strategies.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, and project stakeholders to ensure seamless project delivery.

Structural Engineering & Design Review

  • Review and validate structural designs, calculations, drawings, and technical specifications.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant IS Codes, NBC guidelines, international standards, and project requirements.
  • Provide technical guidance and solutions for complex structural engineering challenges.
  • Review value engineering proposals to optimize project cost and efficiency.

Construction Management

  • Monitor structural construction activities at project sites.
  • Ensure construction works are executed as per approved drawings and specifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and resolve technical issues arising during project execution.
  • Coordinate with site teams to maintain quality and safety standards.

Stakeholder & Team Management

  • Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and government authorities.
  • Participate in project review meetings and prepare technical progress reports.
  • Support project managers in decision-making and stakeholder communications.
  • Mentor junior engineers and site teams on engineering best practices.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with quality management systems and safety protocols.
  • Conduct technical audits and inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications.
  • Support risk assessment and mitigation planning.
  • Ensure statutory approvals and regulatory compliance throughout the project lifecycle.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's Degree (M.E./M.Tech) in Structural Engineering from a recognized institution.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 13-15 years of relevant experience in structural design, project management, and construction supervision.
  • Experience handling medium to large-scale building or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong understanding of RCC, Steel Structures, Precast Structures, and Foundation Systems.
  • Knowledge of seismic design principles and structural analysis methodologies.
