Assistant Project Manager

Support the Project Manager in planning and overseeing building construction projects, coordinating with site teams and suppliers, and monitoring schedules, budgets, and compliance with safety and quality standards.

Job Description

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and overseeing construction projects from commencement to completion.
  • Assist in monitoring project schedules, budgets, manpower and resources to ensure projects are completed within the required timeline and budget.
  • Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Monitor site progress and assist in ensuring construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and project requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant safety regulations, statutory requirements and company policies.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical proposals, tender submissions and project-related documentation.
  • Assist in identifying and resolving site issues, delays and coordination matters in a timely manner.
  • Prepare progress reports, project updates and other documentation for the Project Manager and senior management.
  • Attend project meetings and coordinate follow-up actions with relevant parties.
  • Monitor and evaluate construction processes and assist in implementing improvements to enhance project efficiency and productivity.
  • Support the Project Manager in ensuring proper documentation, handover and completion of project works.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager or management.

Requirements

· Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Building, Construction Management or equivalent.

· At least 2 – 4 years of experience in building construction or project management.
