Assistant Project Manager [SL]

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Assistant Project Manager is responsible for managing assigned sections of the project and supporting the overall project execution in accordance with the approved project programme, budget, quality standards and contractual requirements.

Project Planning & Execution

• Prepare detailed work programmes and monitor progress to ensure assigned activities are completed within the timelines set out in the master programme.

• Coordinate and oversee project activities to ensure smooth and timely execution.

• Implement the company's ISO quality management systems, EHS requirements, environmental initiatives and gracious workplace practices.

• Ensure completed works meet clients' and consultants' quality expectations.

• Ensure compliance with relevant statutory, regulatory and authority requirements.

Technical & Subcontractor Coordination

• Liaise with consultants, clients and project owners on technical and project-related matters.

• Coordinate the resolution of technical issues and manage submissions of shop drawings, material samples and other required documents.

• Monitor appointed subcontractors to ensure their works are completed according to project schedules, technical specifications and contractual requirements.

Cost & Quality Management

• Monitor and control the actual cost of assigned works against the approved budget.

• Identify potential cost overruns and implement appropriate cost control measures.

• Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, quality procedures and project requirements.

• Maintain proper documentation and support continuous improvement initiatives.

Team Management

• Supervise and guide assigned team members to ensure compliance with established work procedures.

• Monitor team productivity and encourage effective teamwork.

• Coordinate with the Project Manager and other project stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

• Perform other project-related duties assigned by the Project Manager.
