POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Assistant Project Manager at LJA, Inc, you will be responsible for coordinating office duties, supervising and managing field and office technicians, reducing field data, preparation of survey exhibits, quality assurance and quality control.
A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE:
- Gathers data used for creation of topographical maps
- Compare survey computations with applicable standards in order to determine adequacy of data
- Collect information needed to carry out new surveys, using source maps, previous survey data, photographs, computer records and other relevant information
- Prepare topographic and contour maps of land surveyed, including site features and other relevant information such as charts, drawings, and survey notes.
- Prepares metes and bounds descriptions for boundary surveying projects, exhibits and various mapping products
- Supervision of field operations and technical staff
- Survey calculations, analysis and final map checking
- Update job’s progress to developers, individuals, commercial and/or government
- Manage projects and workload
- Maintain client relations
REQUIRED EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:
- BS degree (completed or in progress) in surveying, mapping, photogrammetry, or other qualified major, from an ABET accredited college or university.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 plus years of Survey experience
- Proficient with Civil 3D and Trimble Business Center
