Assistant Relationship Manager – Corporate Banking

Role Overview

Our client, a well-established bank is looking to fill the role of Assistant Relationship Manager.

Responsibilities

  • Support Relationship Managers in managing and developing relationships with corporate clients.
  • Assist with client onboarding, KYC/CDD reviews and account-opening documentation.
  • Prepare credit applications, annual reviews, financial spreading and credit-related submissions.
  • Analyse clients’ financial statements, business performance, industry outlook and repayment capacity.
  • Coordinate loan drawdowns, facility renewals, documentation and fulfilment of conditions precedent.
  • Monitor credit limits, covenant compliance, account conduct, outstanding documentation and facility utilisation.
  • Identify potential credit concerns and escalate exceptions promptly.
  • Prepare client presentations, account plans, call reports and internal approval papers.
  • Support the structuring and delivery of corporate banking solutions, including:Bilateral and syndicated loansTrade financeCash managementTreasury and foreign-exchange productsWorking-capital facilities
  • Work closely with Credit, Risk, Compliance, Legal, Operations, Trade Finance and Product teams.
  • Respond to client enquiries and coordinate the timely resolution of service or transaction-related matters.
  • Conduct industry and company research to support credit and business-development activities.
  • Assist Relationship Managers in identifying cross-selling and revenue-growth opportunities.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulatory requirements and the Bank’s internal policies.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Degree in Banking, Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or a related discipline.
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Corporate Banking, Commercial Banking, Credit Analysis or a related area.
  • Basic knowledge of corporate banking products, credit processes and financial-statement analysis.
  • Experience supporting large corporates, multinational companies or financial institutions would be advantageous.
