Job Summary

Assistant Teachers will engage children aged 4 to 11 in hands-on, experiential holiday programs by leading discussions, conducting experiments, and creating a fun, safe learning environment that fosters curiosity and growth.

Responsibilities

• Lead small group discussions to facilitate interactive learning and deepen children’s understanding
• Conduct experiments and explain scientific concepts using analogies, stories, and real-life examples to enhance comprehension
• Motivate children to actively participate and explore learning materials to foster curiosity and engagement
• Design and implement relevant, enjoyable activities that reinforce scientific concepts and maintain children’s interest
• Manage classroom dynamics to ensure a safe, supportive environment that promotes children’s well-being
• Monitor and observe children’s progress and behavior closely to tailor support and interventions effectively
• Provide daily, clear updates to lead teacher on their child’s progress, key concepts covered, and experiments conducted
• Collaborate effectively within a team and work independently to enhance teaching quality and team cohesion
• Identify and address gaps in teaching deliverables and team performance proactively to improve outcomes

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience working with children aged 4 to 11 is advantageous but not mandatory
• Degree or Diploma in Childhood Education, Science-related subjects, or Psychology is preferred
• Passion for Science and familiarity with the latest MOE syllabus are beneficial
