Specific Job Functions:
- Manage operational functions of the slots consistent with the strategic plan and vision of the department, and property
- Assist the Slot Shift Manager with the daily operation of the Slot Operations department and execution of departmental objectives.
- Provide leadership, direction, and support to Slot Operations team members throughout the assigned shift.
- Monitor staffing and floor coverage and adjust assignments as necessary to support operational and guest service needs.
- Ensure the delivery of guest service is consistent with company and property service standards.
- Assist with supervision of Slot Operations employees, including coaching, performance management, and corrective action in accordance with departmental and company policies.
- Provide instruction, training, and ongoing support to team members regarding departmental procedures, service expectations, and operational standards.
- Ensure Slot Operations activities are conducted in accordance with applicable gaming regulations, Title 31 requirements, and company policies and procedures.
- Respond to and resolve guest concerns in a timely, professional, and service-focused manner, escalating issues when appropriate.
- Address employee concerns and operational issues effectively and professionally.
- Assist with the protection of company assets by ensuring appropriate internal controls, security procedures, and departmental practices are followed.
- Maintain accountability and control of sensitive keys and other assigned assets during the shift and in the absence of the Slot Shift Manager, as applicable.
- Delegate assignments and responsibilities to employees based on operational needs and in accordance with departmental policies.
- Organize, manage, and complete assigned projects accurately and within established deadlines.
- Maintain confidentiality of employee, guest, company, and departmental information and records.
- Communicate operational concerns, employee matters, guest issues, and other significant shift activity to the Slot Shift Manager and appropriate leadership.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned and as necessary for the successful operation of the department
Qualifications
- Minimum of two (2) years of Slot Operations experience in a supervisory or management capacity required.
- Working knowledge of casino Slot Operations, including applicable gaming regulations, internal controls, and Title 31 requirements.
- Experience with player tracking and casino management systems required; experience with IGT Slot Management and/or Casino Management System (CMS) preferred.
- Previous cash or money-handling experience preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and provide direction to employees in a fast-paced casino environment.
- Strong guest service, communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize multiple responsibilities while responding effectively to changing operational needs.
- Ability to exercise sound judgment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive employee, guest, and company information.
- Must maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses, registrations, and work cards required for the position.
- Must be able to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, based on business needs.
