Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced and polished Assistant Spa Manager to join a prestigious luxury hotel in Tokai, Western Cape.

This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate spa and wellness professional who has strong leadership skills, excellent guest service standards and a genuine understanding of luxury hospitality. The successful candidate will assist with the daily management of the spa, ensuring smooth operations, exceptional treatments and consistently outstanding guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Spa Manager with the overall day-to-day operation of the spa.
  • Support the management and supervision of spa therapists and front-of-house staff.
  • Ensure exceptional guest service and maintain luxury hospitality standards.
  • Assist with staff scheduling, shift planning and daily operational requirements.
  • Monitor treatment bookings and ensure the spa operates efficiently.
  • Handle guest enquiries, feedback and complaints professionally.
  • Assist with reservations and ensure accurate booking procedures are followed.
  • Monitor treatment rooms, facilities and equipment to ensure they are maintained to a high standard.
  • Assist with stock control, ordering and inventory management.
  • Support the implementation of spa promotions, packages and retail initiatives.
  • Drive treatment and retail sales where appropriate.
  • Assist with staff training, development and performance management.
  • Ensure all spa policies, procedures, hygiene and health and safety standards are maintained.
  • Work closely with other hotel departments to ensure a seamless guest experience.
  • Step into the Spa Manager's role when required.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Spa Supervisor, Assistant Spa Manager or senior spa role.
  • Experience within a luxury hotel, resort or high-end spa environment is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of spa treatments, wellness services and spa operations.
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate and support a team.
  • Excellent guest relations and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
  • Experience with spa reservations and booking systems.
  • Commercially aware with an understanding of treatment and retail sales.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Professional, well presented and confident.
  • Able to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passionate about wellness, hospitality and delivering exceptional guest experiences.
