Summary
Assistant Supervisor in NPD & Design at Guocera (Kluang, Johor): performs color and texture matching, prepares material formulations for production runs, corrects off-shade products, troubleshoots quality issues, and supports new product trials. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Perform color matching to ensure products meet required specifications and standards.
Perform texture matching to maintain consistent product appearance and quality.
Prepare and provide correct material parameters and formulations for production runs.
Adjust color and texture to correct off-shade or non-conforming products.
Support production operations during assigned shifts by preparing and ensuring materials are ready.Assist in troubleshooting product quality issues and identifying root causes.
Maintain accurate records, test results, and related production documentation.Support the NPD team in product trials, improvements, and new product development activities when required.
Job Requirement
Minimum Diploma or Certificate in Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
Basic knowledge of color matching, texture evaluation, and product quality control.
Ability to follow formulations, specifications, and standard operating procedures accurately.
Hands-on skills in handling production materials, equipment, and testing tools.
Good problem-solving skills to identify and troubleshoot product or quality issues.
Able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Proficiency in forklift operation is an advantage.
Willing to work on shift rotation (including A, B and C shifts) and support production when required.
Good communication skills and basic documentation/report writing ability.
Professional / Technical Qualification(s)
Diploma or Certificate in Chemistry, Material Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
