Assistant Tax Manager / Tax Manager
You will lead tax compliance and reporting across direct and indirect taxes for multiple jurisdictions. You will prepare filings and tax provisions, manage audits, maintain controls and documentation, support strategic transactions, interpret global tax legislation, and provide tax guidance and reporting to management and internal departments.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and review direct and indirect tax returns and filings across jurisdictions
- Track filing deadlines and obligations across entities and jurisdictions
- Maintain compliance with local and international tax regulations
- Prepare quarterly and annual tax provisions
- Process and record tax payments accurately and on time
- Support month-end and year-end tax accounting close activities
- Lead responses to tax audits and inquiries
- Maintain tax records and supporting documentation
- Establish and maintain internal controls over tax processes
- Provide tax support for M&A, restructuring, financing, and other strategic initiatives
- Collaborate with finance and legal teams
- Monitor global tax legislation and assess its business impact
- Prepare consolidated tax forecasts and effective tax rate reporting
- Develop internal tax guidelines and process documentation
- Provide tax training across departments
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or a related field
- CPA, CA, or equivalent certification is a plus
- 8 years of relevant experience
- Experience in a multinational group, Big 4, or similar environment with multi-jurisdictional exposure
- Strong understanding of direct and indirect tax laws, tax accounting, and transfer pricing principles
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
- Business acumen and experience collaborating with commercial and legal teams
- Ability to manage competing priorities independently
