Assistant Teacher - Help Young Learners Shine

We are currently seeking full-time Assistant Teachers to join our Head Start Program at our Brunswick Landing and Perryman Drive locations in Brunswick, Maine.
As an Assistant Teacher, you'll play an important role in supporting young children as they learn, grow, and discover the world around them. Working alongside a Lead Teacher, you'll help create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment where children can build confidence, develop new skills, and thrive every day.
What You'll Do
No two days are exactly alike, but your work will include:
- Supporting the Lead Teacher in planning and implementing classroom activities and learning experiences
- Preparing materials and helping maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized learning environment
- Encouraging children's curiosity, creativity, and social-emotional growth through play and educational activities
- Assisting with classroom management and promoting positive behaviors
- Communicating with parents and caregivers regarding children's experiences and progress
- Participating in team meetings, trainings, and program planning activities
