Assistant Teacher

At Boys & Girls Clubs of the Sioux Empire, our Assistant Teachers are key to creating a safe, engaging, and educational daycare and child care environment in our early learning centers. You’ll support early childhood education by helping implement lesson plans and working alongside Lead Teachers to guide activities for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers.

What You'll Do:

• Full-Time, Weekdays Only: Our programs at the Empower Campus and 57th Street Learning Centers are open Monday to Friday between 5:45am and 6:30pm. Staff enjoy consistent schedules, and our programs are closed nights and weekends.
• Collaborate with Lead Teachers: Assist with lesson plans and classroom activities that support learning and development. Whether you're working with infants, toddlers, or Pre-K children, you'll play a key role in creating a nurturing, engaging childcare environment tailored to each stage of early childhood.
• Assist With Care: Help with diapering, potty training, rest periods, and nap schedules; help prepare and serve balanced meals and snacks.
• Ensure Safety and Communication: Monitor children’s play, sanitizing toys, maintain records of activities, meals, and medications, and provide daily updates to parents and guardians.
