Assistant Team Leader

We are seeking an Assistant Team Lead for an opportunity at our White Pine Operation in Dixfield Maine. We are looking for a safety-oriented, energetic individual to help lead our Planer mill 2nd shift operations team.

• Provide leadership in safety, quality, and manage KPI’s, and employee engagement to the operations team.
• Supervise maintenance team of millwrights while working closely with other supervisors and managers.
• Meeting established production specifications, schedules and quality standards.
• Analyze production and operational trends to identify problems in order to recommend solutions to improve performance of machine centers.
• Assess employee performance and provide feedback to help reach planer mill KPI’s
• Perform all other related tasks that will help drive the planer mill and overall success of the mill and drive employee performance and engagement.

• Years of Experience Preferred: 2+ years of relevant supervisory experience.
• A strong commitment to safety and an understanding to behavior-based safety programs.
• Understanding & Experience in Process Improvement is an asset.
• Demonstrated willingness to learn and career development.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
• Ability to multi-task in a multidisciplinary environment, with a high level of detail.
• Organizational, prioritizing and time management skills.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
