Roles & Responsibilities

Technical

• Assist Fleet Manager on technical requirements and follow up on technical matter as instructed by the management
• Stand-in for Fleet Manager on technical matters when he is not around
• In charge of updating records of the vessel in the system
• Expected to carry out regular ship visits as per the company requirement and update vessel status consistently

Crew Management

• Brief crew on organizational policies, documentation and procedures.
• In charge of the appraisals of crew members, together with the operation team
• Responsible for the compliance and application for crew manning and other administration purposes
• Ensure welfare of the crew and be the contact point between the crews/vessels and the management

Requirements

• Proactive attitude for identifying issues and managing problems before it gets out of hand
• Team player that creates synergy with colleagues
• Independent when allocate task and takes ownership for the assigned responsibility
• Meticulous in his approach to work and details, especially when managing crews

Preferred Experience

• 1 years prior experience in equivalent or similar role
• COC class 1 or 2 qualification or sailing experience with engine handling exposure an advantage
