Assistant Vice President - Sales
Key Responsibilities
- Drive revenue growth by originating, developing, and closing new business opportunities across fintech and capital markets solutions.
- Build and manage a portfolio of high-value corporate, institutional, and professional clients, with clear ownership of revenue targets and relationship strategy.
- Act as a senior client advisor, delivering strategic guidance on financial markets products, trading platforms, and fintech-enabled solutions aligned with client objectives.
- Lead complex sales engagements, including structuring bespoke solutions, negotiating commercial terms, and managing stakeholder alignment through to deal closure.
- Develop deep understanding of client business models, trading behaviours, and operational workflows to identify scalable and recurring revenue opportunities.
- Maintain strong engagement with key client decision-makers and influencers to strengthen long-term partnerships and drive wallet share growth.
- Partner with internal stakeholders (trading, product, technology, compliance) to deliver integrated solutions and ensure seamless execution and client experience.
- Monitor market developments, regulatory changes, and competitive positioning to proactively refine client strategies and identify emerging opportunities.
- Take ownership of pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring visibility and accuracy in revenue projections and sales performance.
- Contribute to go-to-market strategy, including identifying target segments, refining value propositions, and supporting new product or platform launches.
- Represent the firm in client meetings, industry events, and networking forums to enhance market presence and generate business leads.
- Provide guidance and informal leadership to junior team members, supporting their development in client management and sales execution.
- Drive improvements in sales processes, client onboarding workflows, and internal coordination to enhance efficiency and scalability.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Typically 5–10 years of relevant experience in sales, business development, or client-facing roles within financial services, capital markets, fintech, or brokerage environments.
- Demonstrated track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets and managing high-value client relationships.
- Strong expertise in financial markets and products, including derivatives (futures & options), FX, and electronic trading platforms or fintech solutions.
- Proven ability to originate deals, structure client solutions, and navigate complex, consultative sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to translate market insights into actionable sales strategies and client opportunities.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with confidence engaging senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Experience using CRM systems for pipeline management, forecasting, and performance tracking.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and familiarity with financial data platforms (e.g., Bloomberg) is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret market trends and client data.
- Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Chinese is preferred to support regional client coverage.
