Assistant Wind Project Manager - Construction Services

The Assistant Project Manager (APM) – Wind Energy supports the successful planning, execution, and closeout of utility-scale wind projects. This role assists the Project Manager in overseeing field operations, subcontractor coordination, budget tracking, scheduling, compliance, and client communication. The APM plays a key role in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Project Coordination & Execution

  • Support the Project Manager in day-to-day execution of wind construction projects
  • Assist in developing and maintaining project schedules, budgets, and forecasts
  • Coordinate with field teams, subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers
  • Track project milestones and proactively identify risks or delays
  • Ensure alignment between engineering, procurement, and construction activities

Financial & Contract Management

  • Assist with budget tracking, cost control, and change order management
  • Review subcontractor invoices and track commitments
  • Support monthly cost reporting and financial forecasting
    Help manage purchase orders and procurement documentation

Field & Operational Support

  • Work closely with site superintendents and field engineers
  • Monitor construction progress including civil, foundations, underground, erection, and commissioning activities
  • Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and safety standards
  • Support punch list development and project closeout documentation

Safety & Quality

  • Promote a strong safety culture aligned with company and OSHA standards
  • Ensure compliance with quality control procedures
  • Participate in safety meetings and audits
  • Assist in implementing corrective actions when necessary
