Assistive Technology Professional
About the Role
Meritus Health is seeking a dedicated and credentialed Assistive Technology Professional to join our Home Medical Equipment team. In this role, you’ll be at the forefront of patient-centered care, providing clinical expertise and operational support for our rehabilitation program. You’ll work closely with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare partners to ensure the safe and effective delivery of mobility solutions and equipment.
Key Responsibilities

Conduct initial and follow-up home visits to patients, ensuring timely, efficient, and compassionate care

Develop and update individualized care plans, communicating changes to physicians

Perform patient evaluations and reassessments, including pressure mapping and mobility recommendations

Set up and educate patients/families on custom wheelchairs, seating systems, and power mobility devices

Provide training and support to healthcare professionals on product use and safety

Manage purchasing activities and monitor inventory for the rehab division

Ensure continuous CHAP accreditation readiness for the complex rehab program

Maintain professional, courteous interactions with coworkers and clients while safeguarding patient confidentiality
Qualifications
Education:
-
High school diploma or equivalent
-
Specialized coursework in power mobility, seating, and positioning assessment

Credentialed by RESNA (ATP and RTS required)
Experience:
-
Minimum 2 years in rehab/mobility

Preferred: 1 year in home care/DME and 1 year ATP experience
Licensure/Certification:
-
Active ATP credential
-
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record (no moving violations preferred in past 3 years)

Annual certified driving record submission required
