Summary:

Job Profile Summary: This position is responsible for overseeing major projects, providing strategic context, direction and leadership to the teams involved. Monitor project execution plans, resource deployment and overall coordination efforts to ensure projects are completed on schedule and to budget. This role also supports HR leaders through coaching on project management best practices and enables effective communication on the overall status of the project portfolio to key stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead a large cross-functional team through complex HR projects and ensure project is completed on time and within budget.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with IT, HR leadership, Procurement, and other cross-functional partners.
• Track and monitor all project milestones and deliverables and regularly communicate status of program to all impacted stakeholders.
• Regularly manage multiple projects at different stages.
• Identify all impacted stakeholders and establish communication channels and progress metrics that should be tracked.
• Ensure process capability, control, and improvement by developing and implementing relevant quality assurance procedures.
• Analyze project risks, costs, and benefits and make relevant recommendations to HR and IT Leadership teams.
• Communicate project management standards and techniques to the appropriate project staff.
• Review budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes when necessary.
• Assess status report change requests and requirements documentation to ensure smooth project progression.
• Conduct project postmortems and create recommendations reports to identify key successful and unsuccessful project elements.


Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree. Equivalent work experience to be considered in lieu of higher education.

Experience: 4+ years relevant work experience; PMP Certification preferred. Strongly prefer experience with managing complex projects that involve many stakeholders, ideally HR related projects

Computer Skills: Standard computer skills with knowledge of CMM and Six Sigma methodologies and standards. Knowledge and experience with project management tools.

Communication Skills: This position is expected to communicate recommendations and implement performance strategies across a broad range of users, stakeholders, and management. Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills required. Team member must be able to adapt their communication style for all levels within the organization.

Special Skills: Strong interpersonal skills; Ability to drive improvement and integration of processes, technology, and people; Effective time management and prioritization skills; Detail oriented with focus on quality; Ability to maintain confidentiality in sensitive positions

Supervisory: No

Travel: 5-10 domestic trips per year.
