Morgan Stanley is seeking a highly motivated professional to join the Asia Margins & Cash Funding Team, responsible for managing daily margin funding, collateral movements, regulatory obligations, and cash flow activities across Listed Derivatives markets in Asia.
The team plays a critical role in ensuring the timely and accurate funding of exchange, broker, affiliate, and client margin requirements while maintaining compliance with client money regulations, exchange rules, and internal control standards.
The successful candidate will work closely with Trading, Risk, Client Service, Operations, Finance, Technology, and external clearing brokers/exchanges to support the firm's Listed Derivatives business across Asia.

Key Responsibilities
Margin & Funding Management
Manage daily exchange and broker Initial Margin (IM) and Variation Margin (VM) funding requirements.
Monitor and proactively manage exchange, broker, and affiliate margin balances.
Execute funding and settlement activities within market deadlines.
Ensure adequate liquidity and funding availability across multiple entities and currencies.
Investigate and resolve margin discrepancies, settlement breaks, and funding exceptions.
Client Margin Operations
Process client margin movements accurately and within prescribed timelines.
Support client onboarding and operational set-up for new markets and products.
Ensure proper segregation of client assets and client money in accordance with regulatory requirements.
Perform LSOC (Legally Segregated Operationally Commingled) and related client asset protection activities.
Regulatory & Compliance Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with exchange, broker, regulatory, and internal policy requirements.
Perform mandatory regulatory reporting within required frequencies and deadlines.
Maintain a strong control framework for margin funding and client asset protection activities.
Support internal audits, external audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance assessments.
Risk & Control Management
Identify operational risks, process vulnerabilities, and control gaps.
Escalate issues proactively and drive resolution with appropriate stakeholders.
Review and strengthen existing operational controls to reduce risk exposure.
Participate in incident reviews and implementation of corrective actions.
Reconciliations & Reporting
Oversee daily reconciliation of margin balances across exchanges, brokers, and internal systems.
Analyze funding positions, margin utilization, and excess collateral balances.
Prepare and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly management reports and regulatory metrics.
Produce management information to support risk oversight and business decision-making.
Process Improvement & Automation
Drive strategic initiatives focused on automation, straight-through processing (STP), and operational efficiency.
Partner with Technology, Operations, and Business stakeholders to implement process enhancements.
Identify opportunities to reduce manual intervention and improve scalability.
Support global, regional, and local projects relating to margin management, collateral management, and regulatory change. Required Skills & Experience
Functional Knowledge
> Strong understanding of Listed Derivatives clearing and settlement processes.
> Knowledge of Initial Margin (IM), Variation Margin (VM), collateral management, and funding operations.
> Understanding of client money regulations, asset segregation requirements, and market infrastructure.
> Familiarity with exchange and broker margin methodologies.
> Experience in regulatory reporting and operational risk management.
Commercial & Business Skills
> Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
> Ability to build effective relationships across multiple functions and regions.
> Commercial mindset with a focus on efficiency, control enhancement, and risk reduction.
