The opportunity

Your key responsibilities
You’ll spend your time supporting the delivery of client engagements by coordinating with clients, EY teams and internal stakeholders, managing assigned workstreams, monitoring deadlines and tracking engagement progress. You’ll be expected to prepare and review working papers, reconciliations, reporting packs and status trackers, help identify technical or operational issues, and support timely resolution or escalation. You will also contribute to process improvement, quality control and risk management activities across Accounting Compliance & Reporting and FMS engagements.
Skills and attributes for success
· Preparing and reviewing accounting schedules, reconciliations and supporting work papers for local GAAP and group reporting purposes.
· Performing analysis of legal entity results, identifying unusual trends or variances, and following up with clients or internal teams on queries.
· Maintaining accounting records under clients’ group GAAP and local GAAP requirements and supporting the preparation of financial statements based on country requirements.
· Supporting risk and control activities, including identifying potential issues, documenting observations, tracking remediation actions and escalating matters where required.
· Coordinating with internal risk, quality and control teams on compliance-related matters, including maintaining documentation and monitoring follow-up actions.
· Monitoring adherence to agreed accounting policies, reporting timelines, engagementprocedures and quality requirements.
· Supporting FMS engagements, including month-end close activities, G/L account reconciliations, reporting packs, statutory reporting support and finance operations coordination.
· Assisting with client onboarding and transition activities for FMS engagements, including process documentation, service calendars, issue logs and status reporting.
· Coordinating with clients and EY teams to monitor service delivery timelines, resolve queries and support quality, risk and compliance standards.
· Supporting ad hoc projects, including client-site assignments where required, and helping deliver practical solutions to client needs.
To qualify for the role you must have
· A degree in accounting, finance, tax, economics or a related discipline; CPA, CA or similar professional qualification is preferred
· At least 3 years of relevant experience in accounting, audit, financial reporting, tax compliance, finance operations or managed services
· Familiarity with SFRS and international accounting standards
· Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders
· Strong organisational, analytical and project coordination skills
· Ability to take ownership of assigned workstreams, guide junior team members and contribute to effective team delivery
· A resourceful and organized working style, with the ability to to prioritise competing deadlines
· Ability to work independently, manage own workload and keep tasks moving under time pressure
· A technology-savvy mindset, with a strong interest in leveraging digital tools, automation and workflow solutions to improve efficiency and deliver high-quality work.
· A proactive, collaborative and client-service mindset
Ideally, you’ll also have
· Experience working in multicultural or cross-border teams
· Experience and knowledge of tax compliance, financial reporting, FMS delivery and ERP systems such as SAP
· Experience supporting transition, onboarding, process documentation or service delivery improvement initiatives
