Are you a software developer passionate about technology, AI and solving real-world problems? Ready to take the next step in your career and work on applications that make a genuine difference?
Country Care Group (CCG) is seeking two "Associate AI & Software Engineers" to join our team at Queens Road, Melbourne office and contribute to the ongoing development of CCG Connect, our digital platform connecting providers, therapists and customers.
This is an exciting opportunity for developers with 2–3 years of professional experience to work across software development, AI-enabled solutions, system integrations and data. You’ll use modern development tools, including AI coding assistants, to build, test and deliver practical solutions that support our business and customers.
We’re looking for curious, proactive problem-solvers who enjoy learning, take pride in the quality of their work and want to grow their technical capabilities while contributing to meaningful projects.
About the role
Working across the full software development lifecycle, you'll help design, build, test, release and support new features within CCG Connect. You'll also contribute to system integrations, data quality and AI-driven automation initiatives that improve the way our business operates.
Key responsibilities
Developing and maintaining features across the front end, APIs, backend services and data layers.
Building reliable integrations with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and other operational systems.
Designing and implementing AI-enabled solutions, including document extraction, intelligent search, summarisation and staff assistants.
Using AI coding assistants such as Claude and GitHub Copilot to accelerate development while ensuring code quality, accuracy and security.
Working with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into practical, testable solutions.
Preparing, cleaning and validating business data to support accurate operational processes and reporting.
Testing, deploying and supporting applications across development, test and production environments.
Maintaining code quality, documentation, release notes and technical standards.
Identifying opportunities to automate processes, improve efficiency and enhance the customer and staff experience.
About you
You’re a practical, solutions-focused developer who enjoys learning new technologies and delivering software that works in the real world. You’re comfortable working independently, collaborating with others and taking responsibility for the quality of your work.
To be successful, you will bring:
2–3 years of professional software engineering experience, including building and supporting production applications.
Strong JavaScript or TypeScript skills and experience with React or a similar front-end framework.
Experience developing APIs and backend services using Node.js, Python or similar technologies.
Working knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
Experience with a cloud platform, ideally Microsoft Azure.
Confidence using AI coding assistants, with the ability to critically review, test and validate generated code.
Familiarity with Git, code reviews and structured software deployment practices.
A careful, methodical approach to data accuracy, testing and troubleshooting.
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
A proactive mindset, a willingness to learn and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-moving environment.
Skills That Will Set You Apart
Experience in any of the following will be highly regarded:
Large Language Model (LLM) APIs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) or AI agent workflows.
Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ERP systems or business system integrations.
Azure Functions, Cosmos DB, Azure Static Web Apps or Microsoft Entra ID.
Microsoft Fabric, Power BI or Python data libraries.
Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines or infrastructure as code, including Bicep.
Retail, healthcare, aged care, disability services, NDIS or other complex operational environments.
You don’t need to tick every box. We’re interested in developers with solid foundations, a strong problem-solving mindset and the drive to keep developing their skills.
