Precisely is an AI-first organization. All employees are expected to demonstrate proficiency in applying AI tools to accelerate their work, improve output quality, and eliminate low-value tasks. Candidates should be comfortable using generative AI tools (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT) in their day-to-day workflows, able to evaluate AI-generated outputs critically, and open to continuously adopting new AI capabilities as they emerge.

Overview: We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Associate Applied AI Engineer to join one of our AI-native Pods: small, cross-functional teams that use AI tools throughout planning, development, testing, and operational workflows. You will work as part of the EngageOne business unit, building customer communication and engagement solutions used by organizations globally. In this entry-level role, you will deliver well-scoped engineering solutions using AI-assisted coding tools under the direction of more experienced engineers. You will build a working understanding of the product codebase, Architecture Guild patterns, and UX design guidelines, while developing the habit of critically evaluating AI-generated output before accepting it.

What you will do:

  • Implement well-scoped engineering solutions using AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) under the guidance of senior engineers, following Architecture Guild patterns and UX design system conventions.
  • Critically interrogate AI-generated code and suggestions, asking "why might this be wrong?" before accepting, and escalate uncertainty to more senior engineers.
  • Direct AI tools to produce basic tests using established testing frameworks; review and validate output against quality and deployment guidelines.
  • Follow deployment runbooks and checklists; read observability dashboards to identify basic issues and understand what SLOs represent.
  • Present your work in code and design reviews, asking clarifying questions and escalating blockers promptly with clear context.
  • Gain hands-on familiarity with the AI toolchain: prompt engineering basics, AI IDE integrations, and agentic coding fundamentals.
  • Collaborate with your Product Lead to understand requirements, product context, and user value, translating them into working software.
  • Use English in daily communication with a global, cross-functional team.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI/ML, or a related field, or currently enrolled in an accredited programme pursuing a relevant major. Equivalent work experience will be accepted in place of the education requirement
  • 0–2 years of experience
  • Ability to use AI-assisted coding tools (e.g., Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) for day-to-day implementation; ability to critically evaluate AI-generated output and recognize when a task is more complex than it appears; familiarity with at least one programming language: Python, Angular, Typescript or Java and basic testing practices.
  • Understanding of software deployment basics, including deployment runbooks, monitoring, alerting, and service reliability concepts. Demonstrates problem-solving ability and a growth mindset. Good written and verbal English communication skills.

AI Skills/Knowledge:

  • Beginner–Intermediate proficiency: uses AI-assisted coding tools (Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code) for day-to-day implementation tasks.
  • Understands prompt engineering basics: clear instructions, context setting, and iterative refinement.
  • Begins exploring planning mode and structured task breakdown using agentic coding tools.

Preferred requirements:

  • Familiarity with AI/ML fundamentals certifications (e.g., Google AI Essentials, AWS Cloud Practitioner, Azure AI Fundamentals).
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and serverless technology such as AWS or Azure.
  • Familiarity with version control systems (Git) and collaboration platforms (GitHub, GitLab).
  • Basic understanding of CI/CD pipelines and containerization (Docker and/or Kubernetes).
  • Exposure to front-end frameworks (e.g., Angular, React) or back-end development in Python/Java or similar languages.
  • Familiarity with observability tooling (e.g., CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, Datadog) and basic understanding of deployment strategies such as blue-green or canary releases.

Salary: 90 000 - 98 250 PLN gross per year - compensation is flexible and open for discussion, with the possibility of adjustment for candidates whose skills and experience strongly align with the role’s requirements
