Role: Associate Architect - Data (Snowflake)
Experience Level: 6 + Years
Work location: Mumbai, Bangalore & Trivandrum
Notice Period: Looking for 0-15 days joiners
Role & Responsibilities:
Data Warehouse Design: Design and develop data warehouse solutions using the Snowflake Data Platform on Azure.
Pipeline Orchestration: Lead the development of data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF), implementing robust error handling, alerting, reset/retry logic, and monitoring.
Data Loading & Integration: Implement incremental data loading using CDC and watermark-based methods, alongside SFTP and REST API integrations.
Snowflake Administration: Apply best practices for Snowflake optimization and security, utilizing Snowpipe, Snowpark, RBAC, Data-Masking, Stored Procedures, UDFs, and Streams & Tasks.
Technical Leadership: Translate detailed business requirements into technical data solutions, conduct code reviews, and mentor junior data engineers.
DevOps Integration: Implement CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, utilizing Git and branching models for deployments.
Financial Domain Alignment: Apply an understanding of core financial concepts and reporting (GAAP/IFRS, P&L, Balance Sheet) to build data solutions supporting Sage Intacct GL, SkyGen, and ClearWater.
Data Quality: Lead requirement gathering with stakeholders and assist in developing automated testing for data pipelines and data quality.
Skills expectation:
Snowflake Expertise: Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake on Azure, including RBAC, administration, optimization, and secure data governance.
Data Pipeline & ETL/ELT: Expertise in ADF for data ingestion and transformation, including advanced error handling and CDC/watermark methods.
Azure Ecosystem: Proficiency with Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS), Azure Key Vault, and Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
Technical Core: Strong SQL skills, Python proficiency, and solid Data Modeling capabilities for Data Warehouses and Data Marts.
Financial Acumen: Experience with financial reporting and processes. Familiarity with Sage Intacct GL, SkyGen, or ClearWater data structures is highly preferred.
Team Leadership: Ability to lead technical execution, gather stakeholder requirements, and mentor junior engineers.
