Sarji Law Firm is seeking a dedicated Associate Attorney to join their legal team. This role offers the opportunity to work on a variety of family law cases, including divorce, child custody, support, and domestic violence matters. The associate attorney will provide legal representation to clients navigating the family court system, demonstrating strong advocacy skills, professionalism, and a commitment to justice.

Key Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in family court proceedings for divorce, custody, support, and protective orders.
  • Prepare and draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research and provide case strategy recommendations.
  • Negotiate settlements and work collaboratively with opposing counsel when appropriate.
  • Interview and counsel clients, maintaining confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Manage case files and deadlines efficiently.
  • Participate in mediation, hearings, and trials as needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of relevant family law statutes and court procedures.

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
  • 2+ years of experience in South Carolina Family Court
  • Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload effectively.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated commitment to client advocacy and ethical practice.
  • Litigation experience is required
