Associate Attorney

The Nashville, TN office of Hall Booth Smith, P.C. (HBS) is growing and is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its expanding defense litigation practice group(s). This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing team, work alongside experienced litigators, contribute to case strategy and development, and build strong relationships with firm clients.

Seeking a mid-level Associate Attorney with 3+ years of defense litigation experience. Experience in Healthcare Liability is a plus, but not required. Candidates must be active members in good standing of the Tennessee Bar.

Responsibilities:

Represent and defend clients in hearings, trials, and depositions
Effectively communicate with clients about their cases, providing consistent updates and comprehensive legal advice
Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, prepare legal documents, and prepare and respond to discovery
Collaborate closely with partners, associates, and other team members in building and executing successful defense strategies
Participate in case strategy and development while working closely with experienced litigators
Develop and maintain strong relationships with firm clients

Qualifications:

Active membership in good standing with the Tennessee Bar
3+ years of defense litigation experience
Healthcare Liability experience is a plus, but not required
Strong legal research, writing, analytical, and communication skills
Strong interest in attending trial and utilizing litigation skills
Ability to develop and execute defense litigation strategies, exercise sound judgment, and effectively manage case responsibilities

Compensation:
Starting salary of $130,000. In addition to base salary, Associate Attorneys are offered two bonus structures and an excellent comprehensive benefits package.
