Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Implement and maintain cloud solutions using services like Compute Engine, GKE, Cloud Run, App Engine
  • Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like Cloud Build, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions
  • Ensure security, compliance, and cost optimization of GCP environments
  • Manage IAM roles, networking (VPC, subnets, firewall rules), and load balancing
  • Monitor system performance using Stackdriver (Cloud Monitoring & Logging)
  • Automate infrastructure using Terraform / Deployment Manager
  • Support containerized workloads using Docker and Kubernetes (GKE)
  • Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for cloud adoption and migration

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Hands-on with services such as:
    • Compute Engine
    • Cloud Storage
    • BigQuery
    • Cloud Functions
    • Pub/Sub
  • Experience with Kubernetes (GKE) and Docker
  • Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and IAM in cloud environments
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Knowledge of scripting languages (Python, Bash)
  • Good understanding of monitoring and logging tools

Preferred Qualifications

  • Google Cloud Certifications (e.g., Associate Cloud Engineer / Professional Cloud Engineer)
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments
  • Familiarity with data engineering tools (BigQuery, Dataflow)
  • Exposure to microservices architecture

Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in cloud engineering
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in GCP

Soft Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
  • Good communication and collaboration abilities
  • Ability to work in an agile environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience with AI/ML services on GCP
  • Knowledge of security best practices and FinOps
