About the Role
We are looking to engage
analytically driven professionals to join the Firm's Corporate and Startup
Advisory practice at our Bengaluru office.
This role is
designed for professionals with up to three (3)
years of relevant experience seeking to build expertise in corporate advisory,
startup advisory, commercial transactions, technology law, regulatory
compliance, and business law matters.
The role offers
significant learning opportunities across complex corporate and regulatory
assignments, with close mentorship from senior professionals handling
corporate, commercial, technology, and transactional matters.
Engagement Profile
The selected
professional shall ordinarily be involved in:
- Assisting the team in matters relating to corporate, commercial, technology, and regulatory laws;
- Supporting startup and business clients on matters relating to incorporation, business structuring, governance, commercial arrangements, regulatory compliance, and allied corporate matters;
- Assisting in matters relating to the Companies Act, 2013, FEMA, and allied corporate and commercial laws;
- Conducting legal research on statutes, regulations, notifications, circulars, and judicial precedents relevant to business and commercial laws;
- Assisting in the drafting, review, and preparation of contracts, legal opinions, corporate records, governance documents, and other corporate, commercial, transactional, and regulatory documentation;
- Supporting due diligence exercises, transaction support assignments, and document review exercises;
- Assisting in compliance reviews, regulatory filings, and corporate secretarial matters;
- Supporting investigations, regulatory proceedings, and interactions involving authorities and agencies, where required;
- Assisting the team in dispute strategy, pre-litigation advisory, and drafting support for commercial disputes, where required;
- Preparing legal updates, articles, white papers, research notes, and internal knowledge resources;
- Coordinating internally with team members and supporting information gathering, documentation management, and execution requirements for assigned matters;
- Adapting quickly to digital tools and internal systems such as Zoho, Microsoft Teams, and other technology platforms used by the Firm; and
- Maintaining confidentiality, documentation discipline, and professional accuracy across assignments.
Requirements
Qualifications
Applicants must possess:
- LL.B. degree from a recognised
university in India; and
- Candidate must be registered with
BCI
- Candidates with 0 to 3 years of
post-qualification experience (PQE) in corporate law, startup advisory,
commercial transactions, secretarial practice, regulatory advisory, or
related areas are encouraged to apply.
Preference may be
given to candidates demonstrating:
- A strong interest in startup advisory
and emerging businesses;
- Exposure to corporate advisory,
commercial transactions, compliance, or transactional documentation
through internships, law firm experience, in-house roles, or assignments;
- Candidates should possess a basic
understanding of the Companies Act, 2013, FEMA, principles of corporate
governance, commercial contracts, startup fundraising transactions,
regulatory compliance requirements, and technology and digital business
laws relevant to corporate and startup advisory practice.
