Associate Creative Director, Customer Stories
You will set the creative standard for customer films and ensure each project has narrative tension, compelling on-screen characters, and a meaningful role for Ramp. You will develop the film series; lead Tier 1 brand films from brief through final cut; write treatments and creative briefs; direct filmmakers and animators; govern production tiers; build production resources; and partner on customer, product-launch, and co-built product stories.
Responsibilities
- Set and enforce the creative standard for customer films
- Apply a story bar before projects enter production
- Develop and evolve the film series
- Direct Tier 1 brand films from brief through final cut
- Lead the Customer Creative team and build a bench of editors, filmmakers, and writers
- Govern the production tier system and establish the internal production kit
- Partner with Customer Marketing and Product Marketing on films and product stories
- Own treatments and narrative structure across the program
Requirements
- 7+ years of film and creative-direction experience with a film-focused portfolio
- Strong writing skills for treatments, narrative arcs, and creative briefs
- Strong story-casting skills
- Knowledge of the structural differences between brand films and sales-floor films
- Experience building creative frameworks, production playbooks, and brief templates
- Experience leading a team and producing a recognizable body of work
- Hands-on experience with AI production and post-production tools, including Runway, Descript, Adobe AI, ElevenLabs, VO3, Gemini, and Midjourney
- Background in filmmaking-focused agencies or in-house creative leadership
- Ability to travel frequently for on-location shoots
- Based in New York City or San Francisco, or willing to relocate
