Associate Data Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an Associate Data Engineer with a strong foundation in SQL and scripting, a passion for solving complex data problems, and a willingness to learn modern data technologies. The ideal candidate has strong analytical skills, can work with data pipelines, and is eager to grow in cloud-based data environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize data solutions using SQL and Python or other scripting languages.

• Analyze data requirements and support data processing and transformation initiatives.

• Assist in building and maintaining ETL/ELT and data pipeline processes.

• Troubleshoot data-related issues and identify root causes through data analysis.

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business and reporting requirements.

• Support data quality, integrity, and performance initiatives.

• Continuously learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and best practices in data engineering.

Required Qualifications

• Strong understanding of SQL fundamentals.

• Experience with Python or another scripting language.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective verbal and written communication skills.

• Demonstrated learning agility, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, or Cloud Storage.

• Experience with ETL/ELT processes or data pipeline development.

• Academic, personal, internship, or professional data-related projects.

• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
