Role Objective:

Set up and lead Moglix's Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) operations from the ground up, covering a greenfield BMS development centre and Cell-to-Container BESS assembly line. Alongside this, build engineering capability, set up sourcing for all key raw materials and lead operations to deliver a competitive BESS portfolio.

Role Responsibilities:

- Set up and run the BESS capability for Moglix end-to-end: Product roadmap and operating model.

- Build and lead the entire BESS operations team to drive outcomes and grow Moglix's BESS offering portfolio.

- Coordinate with external technology, equipment and integration partners to set up a greenfield BESS line covering cells to container.

- Lead plant/line design, equipment selection, commissioning, trial runs and ramp-up across product formats ranging from residential ESS solutions to C&I segment (MWh scale).

- Evaluate and manage partnerships with cell manufacturers, including potential tie-ups for local cell manufacturing.

- Drive development of BMS (Battery Management System), PCS (Power Conversion System), TMS (Thermal Management System) and EMS (Energy Management System) for the entire BESS solution range, through in-house teams and/or technology partners.

- Own BESS system design - electrical, thermal and mechanical architecture - for both air-cooled and liquid-cooled systems.

- Ensure products meet applicable safety and certification standards.

- Set up and run sourcing operations for all key raw materials and components - cells, BMS hardware, PCS, thermal management, enclosures/containers, fire-suppression and BOS.

- Build a resilient vendor base; drive cost, quality, lead-time and localization targets.

Qualification & Experience:

- 8+ years in energy storage / Li-ion batteries / power electronics.

- Experience in handling and designing air cooled and liquid cooled systems.

- BMS, PCS and EMS development for the full product range; thermal management of air-cooled and liquid-cooled systems; BESS safety and certification standards; strategic sourcing of cells and BESS components.

- High level of ownership, willingness to set up things from scratch.

- B. Tech from a reputed institute.

- MBA / M.Tech from reputed institute (Desirable).
