Associate Director, Client Success
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Associate Director, Client Success based in the United States.
This is a strategic client leadership role focused on building and expanding relationships with complex public sector healthcare organizations.
You will own high-value accounts end to end, with responsibility for retention, revenue growth, adoption, and long-term partnership value.
The role combines strategic account management, executive engagement, commercial planning, and measurable client outcomes.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across health systems, payers, and public sector organizations.
Success will require the ability to navigate sophisticated procurement processes, influence decision-makers, and identify opportunities for expansion.
You will collaborate closely with Product, Clinical, Marketing, and Operations teams to translate client needs into meaningful outcomes.

Accountabilities
- Develop and execute strategic account plans focused on revenue growth, client adoption, retention, market expansion, and long-term account value.
- Own renewals, upsell opportunities, and expansion initiatives across a portfolio of high-value public sector healthcare accounts.
- Identify new use cases, departments, service lines, and other opportunities to expand existing client relationships.
- Serve as the primary strategic contact for executive stakeholders, including C-suite, clinical, procurement, and operational leaders.
- Build trusted, consultative relationships that position the organization as a critical strategic partner to clients.
- Lead executive business reviews, aligning stakeholders around performance, outcomes, priorities, and future strategy.
- Manage complex renewal cycles, multi-stakeholder procurement processes, and public sector decision-making pathways.
- Partner cross-functionally with Product, Clinical, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure strong client experiences and measurable outcomes.
- Monitor account performance against key metrics, proactively identifying retention risks and developing mitigation plans.
- Capture customer feedback, market intelligence, and account insights to inform product, client success, and go-to-market strategies.
- Use AI tools and agents to streamline workflows, analyze information, improve productivity, and evaluate the quality of AI-generated outputs.
- Travel up to approximately 40% to support client engagement, executive relationship building, and strategic account development.
- 7+ years of experience in enterprise sales, strategic account management, client success, management consulting, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated success managing complex, high-value healthcare accounts, preferably within public sector or other highly regulated environments.
- Strong experience engaging, advising, and influencing C-level healthcare stakeholders and other senior decision-makers.
- Deep understanding of healthcare ecosystems, including health systems, payers, public sector organizations, procurement processes, and renewal cycles.
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic account plans with clear ownership of revenue, retention, expansion, and client outcomes.
- Strong commercial judgment and experience identifying and converting expansion opportunities within existing enterprise accounts.
- Excellent executive communication, negotiation, relationship management, presentation, and stakeholder-influence skills.
- Demonstrated ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder organizations and manage sophisticated procurement and renewal processes.
- Experience collaborating effectively across Product, Clinical, Marketing, Operations, and other functions in fast-paced, matrixed environments.
- Demonstrated fluency with AI tools and agents, including the ability to use them to execute workflows, analyze information, improve efficiency, and independently evaluate and refine outputs.
- Strong strategic thinking, problem-solving, organization, and prioritization skills.
- Bachelor’s degree required; an MBA, MPH, or equivalent advanced degree is preferred.
- Base salary: $160,000–$195,000 annually, with final compensation based on role level, skills, experience, education, training, and other relevant factors.
- Equity compensation in addition to base salary.
