This is a senior, hands-on position combining exceptional content development with content strategy, functional leadership, stakeholder influence, independent decision-making, and accountability for the effectiveness and quality of priority organizational campaigns.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Lead the development and execution of content marketing strategy across major organizational, fundraising, community, digital, and event campaigns.

- Exercise significant independent judgment in determining the appropriate content approach, messaging, audience segmentation, tone, format, channel, and call to action for priority initiatives.
- Serve as a senior content marketing advisor to stakeholders, providing expert counsel and recommendations on messaging, audience engagement, content strategy, and campaign effectiveness.
- Partner with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to clarify campaign objectives, identify audience needs, resolve competing priorities, and determine appropriate content approaches.
- Lead content development across the full campaign lifecycle, ensuring consistency and effectiveness from initial awareness and engagement through registration, fundraising, participation, and follow-up.
- Write and oversee content for UJA's major marketing and fundraising campaigns across email, web, landing pages, social media, digital advertising, events, donor communications, and other channels.
- Develop and strengthen headlines, subject lines, calls to action, campaign messaging, web copy, social content, fundraising asks, and short- and long-form marketing materials.
- Influence and align stakeholders across departments around content strategy, messaging, audience needs, priorities, and campaign objectives.
- Identify content marketing opportunities, challenges, audience considerations, and potential risks and proactively recommend solutions.
- Translate detailed, technical, sensitive, or complex information into accessible, audience-focused content without compromising accuracy or organizational intent.
- Establish and promote content standards related to quality, consistency, audience, tone, organizational voice, accessibility, and effectiveness.
- Provide functional leadership, content guidance, coaching, and subject-matter expertise to colleagues and contributors supporting campaigns and content initiatives.
- Provide project leadership across complex, cross-functional campaigns involving multiple stakeholders, deliverables, audiences, and deadlines.
- Review and strengthen high-priority campaign content, exercising judgment regarding potential impact on fundraising outcomes, donor relationships, community engagement, organizational reputation, and stakeholder trust.
- Use audience insights, campaign performance information, and available analytics to identify opportunities and make recommendations for improving future content and engagement.
- Stay current on content marketing, digital communications, social media, SEO, AI-assisted content tools, audience engagement, and emerging best practices, and recommend appropriate approaches for UJA.
- Manage multiple high-priority campaigns and content portfolios simultaneously, independently establishing priorities and adapting to changing organizational requirements.
- Perform other related responsibilities as required.
