The Opportunity:
Lead the pursuit, shaping, architecture and delivery of complex Oracle Fusion Cloud transformations.
The role combines enterprise solution architecture, platform leadership, presales and commercial solutioning, delivery governance, and senior client engagement across finance and adjacent corporate systems. It is accountable for turning business needs into secure, sustainable and commercially viable Oracle solutions, while building capability across multidisciplinary teams.
Key accountabilities:
- Transformation and architecture leadership - Lead the planning, option evaluation, design and implementation of end-to-end Oracle Fusion Cloud engagements, centred on ERP and extending where relevant into EPM, finance, procurement, supply chain, asset management, HR and reporting.
- Solution governance - Own solution integrity across architecture, design, configuration, integration, data, environments, security, testing, deployment, transition to support and BAU. Establish governance, manage architectural decisions, contain scope and proactively address delivery risk.
- Presales and commercial solutioning - Lead RFP and RFI responses, discovery workshops, solution scoping, effort estimation, proof-of-concept design, value assessments and executive presentations. Connect the technical solution to the proposed delivery model, commercials, contracts and schedules.
- Client and stakeholder leadership - Build trusted relationships with senior client stakeholders and communicate complex architecture choices clearly. Work effectively with business, functional, technical, security, infrastructure, data and commercial teams, both locally and internationally.
- Oracle platform expertise - Provide authoritative advice on Oracle Fusion Cloud capabilities, product direction and leading practice. Maintain strong relationships with Oracle alliance teams and stay informed about relevant services, offerings and emerging capabilities.
- Delivery leadership - Provide hands-on platform oversight throughout delivery. Guide cross-functional teams through design, build, migration, integration, testing, cutover, deployment and stabilisation.
- Data, integration and reporting - Shape data migration, governance, integration and reporting approaches, including PaaS/SaaS integration patterns, analytics, OTBI and modern business intelligence where appropriate.
- People and capability - Recruit, coach, mentor and enable functional and technical team members. Support the development of reusable methods, reference architectures, assets and quality standards.
- Innovation and value - Identify practical opportunities to use automation, analytics and AI-enabled Oracle capabilities to improve business processes, decision-making and user outcomes.
Experience and attributes:
- Demonstrated leadership of multiple end-to-end ERP or major corporate systems implementations, with a strong solution architecture focus.
- At least five years of substantive Oracle Fusion Cloud implementation experience, supported by broader enterprise application delivery experience appropriate to an Associate Director or Director-level role.
- Deep expertise in Oracle Fusion ERP, with strong capability in one or more functional area including Finance and/or HR, and ideally exposure to one or more adjacent areas such as EPM, Procurement, SCM, or Asset Management.
- Proven experience leading presales and business development activities, including RFP/RFI responses, solution estimation, client discovery, solution demonstrations and executive-level presentations.
- Ability to connect architecture and technical design to business outcomes, delivery approach, commercial responses, contractual commitments and implementation schedules.
- Experience governing complex solutions across functional design, integrations, data migration, reporting, environments, security, testing, deployment and transition to support.
- Practical knowledge of enterprise architecture, technology roadmaps, option evaluation, business case development, risk management and scope control.
- Strong understanding of business processes and standard New Zealand finance/ERP requirements Experience working across multidisciplinary and geographically distributed teams, with the credibility to influence senior business and technology stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate complex technical matters for executive audiences.
- A collaborative leadership style, strong judgement, an innovative mindset and a practical passion for technology-enabled problem solving.
- A relevant university degree or recognised industry qualification.
Preferred credentials and domain exposure:
- Oracle Fusion Cloud product certification in ERP, Finance, Procurement, SCM, EPM or a related area.
- Experience with Oracle PaaS/SaaS integrations, OTBI, enterprise reporting and business intelligence.
- Experience with FMIS, HRMIS, supply chain, procurement, asset lifecycle or other enterprise corporate systems.
- Awareness of the opportunity presented by emerging Oracle capabilities, including AI-enabled ERP features, to real business problems
