Associate Director of Advancement for Marketing and Communications – Full Time, 12-Months, Benefit Eligible


Scope of Role:

The Associate Director of Advancement for Marketing and Communications will partner with the leadership team and various school leaders to develop narratives that support organizational evolution and growth through culture change both internally and externally. Daily responsibilities will include capturing, writing, and disseminating stories that inspire, excite, and build confidence among current and future constituencies. Collaborating closely with the Creative Marketing Specialist this person will tailor messaging, narratives, stories and content for different audiences that result in that result in advancing the school's goals and initiatives. The position reports to the Director of Advancement.


Major Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with the Director of Advancement and Head of School to craft and communicate key messages to the CFA parent community.
  • Monitor and analyze CFA’s website and social media performance, assessing audience engagement and key metrics.
  • Actively participate in strategic discussions with senior leadership.
  • Provide critical performance data to support the Strategic Plan goals.
  • Contribute to advertising efforts for CFA’s Admissions Office and Summer Programs.
  • Develop and execute an annual communications and marketing plan to maximize admissions recruitment and retention, donor and constituent engagement, stewardship, and overall brand awareness.
  • Produce high-quality printed materials such as the Annual Report, newsletters, and other constituency communications, ensuring all external publications uphold CFA’s standards.
  • Write, edit, and direct compelling content across all platforms, including publications, social media, photography, and the school’s online presence, while leveraging emerging media to strengthen CFA’s brand.
  • Take part in crisis communications efforts, ensuring timely and effective messaging to families and the public.
  • Manage external partnerships with promotional groups, including radio stations, influencers, photographers, and more.
