Associate Director of Content Strategy for LWC
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist the Executive Director and Director of Operations with development and implementation of content strategies that strengthen the identity and voice of the Liberty Worship Collective.
- Oversee and manage all social media platforms, collaborating with Campus Productions and OSD Creative on video production, content development, and channel growth initiatives, including YouTube.
- Serve as the primary branding manager for the Liberty Worship Collective, including merchandising initiatives such as apparel, vinyl design, and distribution.
- Develop and execute creative content strategies for off-campus and external events, including but not limited to merchandise presence, custom lyric videos, and promotional campaigns for auditions and team engagement.
- Serve as the liaison between the Liberty Worship Collective staff and OSD’s Creative team, maintaining regular communication regarding deliverables, timelines, and project expectations.
- Assist in the development and execution of release timelines and marketing strategies for all Liberty Worship Collective music distributed to digital streaming platforms (DSPs), including Spotify, Apple Music, and other outlets.
- Manage communication workflows between Liberty Worship Collective, OSD Creative, and Liberty Music Group (LMG), ensuring alignment and timely delivery of assets including artwork requests, multitrack recordings, song intellectual property (IP) and metadata, lyric videos requests, behind-the-scenes content needs, and live video recordings needs.
- Research, propose, and implement innovative content initiatives that expand the visibility and engagement of the Liberty Worship Collective both locally and globally.
- Assist in the planning and execution of large-scale content projects, including devotional video series, music-driven content releases, and multi-session recording initiatives as opportunities arise with creative direction and execution led by OSD Creative and production partners.
- Remain abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in content creation, branding, and digital engagement.
- Attend departmental and official Liberty University meetings as required.
- Strictly adheres to Liberty University policies, representing the University in an exemplary manner.
- Works effectively as a team member, embracing and fostering LU’s Christian model and Mission – Training Champions for Christ.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position is responsible for approximately one staff/PT staff and two student workers.
QUALIFICATIONS AND CREDENTIALS
Education and Experience
- Four-year college degree, with a concentration in Marketing, Communications, Media Production, Digital Content, or a related field.
- 2-3 years+ experience in branding, digital content creation, and social media strategy is required.
Preferred Experience
- Master’s degree
- 3 years+ experience in a professional Marketing, Communications, Content Strategy, Social Media Management, or Creative role.
- Experience in ministry, worship environments, or live event production is strongly preferred.

Work Environment
The working environment in which one will typically perform the essential functions of this position is a climate-controlled setting. It is well lighted, and the noise level is moderate. Working environment may include facilitation of events outdoors occasionally.
Driving Requirements
Use of one’s personal vehicle (or LU vehicles) may be required for travel in the performance of the essential functions of this position. Proof of a valid Virginia driver’s license, an acceptable DMV record, and liability insurance is required.

Pay Range
Compensation is determined based on factors such as qualifications, experience, education, skills, and certifications, along with University needs and external market conditions. Market benchmarks may be used, as appropriate, in combination with internal equity to ensure pay is fair and aligned with the broader compensation structure.
The position may also be eligible for comprehensive benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and tuition assistance.
$50,000.00 - $60,000.00
