Associate Director of Sales (Weddings & MICE) - Fairmont Agra
The Associate Director of Sales – Weddings & MICE is responsible for leading the hotel's weddings, social events, meetings, incentives, and group business sales strategy. The role focuses on maximizing revenue opportunities, developing key market segments, managing high-value client relationships, leading the sales team, and ensuring exceptional event experiences that enhance the hotel's reputation and profitability.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve wedding and MICE revenue targets.
- Drive business growth through weddings, corporate events, conferences, incentives, exhibitions, and social celebrations.
- Identify new revenue opportunities and expand the hotel's presence in key market segments.
- Establish annual sales goals, forecasts, and action plans in alignment with hotel objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and pricing strategies to maintain competitive positioning.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with high-value clients, corporate partners, and event planners.
- Manage key accounts and ensure personalized service delivery throughout the sales and event execution process.
- Conduct regular client meetings and presentations to understand needs and propose customized solutions.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve individual and departmental targets.
- Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to enhance team capabilities and productivity.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review performance metrics, share best practices, and address challenges.
- Oversee event planning and execution to ensure all weddings and MICE events meet the hotel's quality standards.
- Collaborate with operations, catering, and housekeeping teams to deliver seamless event experiences.
- Conduct post-event reviews and gather client feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Develop targeted marketing campaigns and promotional strategies to attract wedding and MICE business.
- Participate in industry trade shows, networking events, and conferences to generate leads and build brand awareness.
- Create compelling proposals and presentations that showcase the hotel's unique value proposition.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Minimum 8–12 years of experience in hotel sales, with significant exposure to weddings and MICE segments.
- Proven experience managing large-scale weddings, corporate events, and high-value group business.
- Strong network with wedding planners, corporate clients, event agencies, and industry partners.
- Demonstrated ability to achieve revenue targets and manage complex sales cycles.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
