ORGANIZATIONAL SUMMARY:The Arc San Francisco is a non-profit service and advocacy organization for adults with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, intellectual and developmental disabilities, and their families living in San Francisco and San Mateo counties. We currently serve a varied group of over 550 participants who, despite their diverse backgrounds, ages and disabilities, are all similar in their desire to live a life of greater self-determination, dignity and quality. Our goal is to provide the supports that enables people with developmental disabilities to maximize their potential, live meaningful lives and become integral members of the community. To that end, we provide a range of services relevant to all areas of adult life, from independent living supports and skills building to employment training and creative expression. POSITION SUMMARY:The Associate Director Tailored Services and Residential Programs will oversee both the Tailored Day Services and Residential Programs. Reporting to the Senior Director of Programs, the Associate Director will manage daily operations and implement programmatic enhancements, focusing on providing person-centered programming that embodies The Arc’s values of justice, belonging, personal agency, leadership, and interdependence

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Oversee daily operations of Tailored Day Services and Residential Programs.
  • Ensure that program executions are in alignment with their service designs and are implemented from a person-centered perspective.
  • Support Service Managers in developing supervisory skills, managing caseloads, and completing annual reviews.
  • Support staff during participant emergencies in the Residential program, as needed. Some weekend work is required and is based on participant need.
  • Ensure that all required staff documentation is up to date and complete.
  • Ensure participant data is current and regularly updated.
  • Monitor ISP’s/POS requests to ensure timeliness and accuracy. Confirm all participants have current funding and Service Managers are accurately tracking attendance. Ensure Semi-Annual reviews are completed, and goals are updated as needed.
  • In tandem with Senior Director of Programs, develop and monitor operations budget. Track program performance metrics and manage caseload and staff performance in accordance with program design and budget needs.
  • Champion use of technology to enhance program delivery and experience.
  • Member of The Arc’s Leadership Team. Actively contribute development and implementation of policies and procedures. Model and provide Leadership regarding all Agency programs and supports.
  • Track program operations budget, ensuring costs remain within allotted budgets, reallocating to ensure maximum utilization, and monitoring to manage loss control.
  • Analyze, plan and implement service improvements for Tailored Day Services and Residential programs, inclusive of tracking participant attendance, participant demographic, participant interests and activities and DSP caseload. Includes trend analysis and suggestions for programmatic enhancements.
  • Provides agency-based trainings as assigned.
  • Maintains positive relationship with funders and community-based partners.
  • Attend community meetings relevant to disabilities as needed.
  • Attend trainings, seminars and conferences as indicated.
  • Promotes overall growth of programs for participants of The Arc San Francisco.
  • Other duties as assigned.
