Chronograph was founded to bring next-generation technology to private capital markets. Through our suite of cloud-based analytics and data management solutions, we help many of the world's largest and most sophisticated venture capital, private equity, and credit funds understand their investment performance in unprecedented detail, with over 258,000 private companies and 15,000 private capital funds monitored via our solution suite.

At Chronograph, we get to go "behind the scenes" and work directly with investors who are driving some of the most impactful changes across high growth start-ups, global infrastructure and renewable energy, growth equity, and all other private capital strategies. The firm is backed by Sixth Street Growth, Summit Partners, Carlyle AlpInvest, and Nasdaq Inc., and has seen continuous rapid growth since its founding in 2016. Our client base today includes hundreds of investors and asset managers monitoring more than $5.9 trillion in invested capital with 8 of the 10 largest GPs and 5 of the 10 largest LPs using Chronograph.

The Role

Bring your expertise to a highly collaborative, creative, and innovative team with a market-leading technology product suite. We are seeking an accomplished and ambitious account executive to join our Client Development (enterprise sales) team to help drive new client acquisition and our broader go-to-market strategy across EMEA. Importantly, this role will be one of Chronograph's first team members located in the United Kingdom, and there will be significant opportunities to help build and scale an international presence from our London offices.

You will work closely across stakeholders to expand our client development and sales function in London, with a focus on lead generation, evaluation ownership, proof of concept design & execution, negotiation and closing. This position will report to the Global Head of Sales, with engagement across the organization globally.

This is an exceptional opportunity for a driven, detail-oriented top performer to become directly engaged with several of the world's most sophisticated private capital investors and produce immediate impact within a globally-focused financial technology firm.

Even if you do not meet all criteria, we would still encourage you to apply! Chronograph offers an entrepreneurial environment where you will be able to proactively identify opportunities to develop and strengthen our client development function.

As an Associate Director or Director of Client Development at Chronograph you will:

  • Drive new ARR growth from private credit General Partners and debt-focused investment managers across the UK and Europe.
  • Partner with Executive Leadership to shape and execute Chronograph's go-to-market strategy for the private credit vertical in EMEA.
  • Act as primary client advocate and relationship manager across the client engagement journey: lead generation, needs scoping, presentation, pre-sales configuration, negotiation, onboarding & ongoing use are all in scope.
  • Translate complex credit use cases (e.g., borrower-level performance, covenant monitoring, complex valuations, and LP reporting) into tailored platform solutions.
  • Leverage succinct communication skills to engage and ensure product resonance with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Develop deep understanding of client use cases to deliver creative and thoughtful solutions.

You will be successful in the role if you have:

  • 4+ years of experience in enterprise software sales or professional services focused on private markets, ideally with direct exposure to private credit investors in the UK and Europe.
  • Strong familiarity with the private credit end market, including the various sub-asset classes (direct lending, mezzanine, structured credit, etc.) and their distinct monitoring needs.
  • Deep understanding of portfolio monitoring, valuation, and LP reporting workflows.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to simplify complex financial concepts for diverse audiences.
  • A proactive, deal-driven mindset with a passion for delivering value-based outcomes to clients.
  • Ability to collaborate across functions and time zones, quickly adapt to a high-performance culture, and maintain energy in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.
  • A combination of commercial drive, intellectual curiosity, and relationship EQ that builds long-term trust.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally.
  • A positive attitude, sense of humor, and genuine enthusiasm for shaping the future of private markets technology.
