Associate Director or Senior Manager, IFRS17

A leading Insurance Company is now looking for:

Associate Director or Senior Manager, IFRS17 (Insurance)

Job Responsibilities:

• Oversee the end-to-end IFRS 17 reporting process within the Actuarial function, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of financial results in accordance with company standards

• Provide in-depth analysis of key financial movements, communicating significant drivers of results to senior management

• Facilitate technical discussions and manage detailed assessments related to IFRS 17, offering insights into the financial implications

• Collaborate with the broader actuarial community to maintain compliance with audit requirements and to drive initiatives that enhance efficiency in financial reporting

• Guide and motivate a team of actuaries, promoting their professional development and enhancing overall team performance

• Support junior team members in their growth by providing coaching and mentorship, ensuring they meet reporting requirements effectively

Job Requirements:

• Bachelors degree with significant progress toward professional actuarial qualifications

• Achieved Fellowship in actuarial professional examination

• A minimum of 6 - 10 years of relevant experience within the life insurance sector, with solid actuarial knowledge in valuation, financial reporting, or product pricing

• Experience with IFRS 17 in a direct life insurer is advantageous

• Proven leadership experience along with project and stakeholder management skills is essential

• Strong problem-solving abilities with a keen attention to detail, particularly in handling complex financial concepts and issues

• Demonstrated modeling skills and familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Access, Python, PowerBI, Qlik, or VBA

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to build relationships effectively
