  • Ability to manage multiple projects and cost management team.
  • Develop and implement the business strategy for the fit out cost management service line, aligning with overall company objectives and market trends.
  • Lead business development initiatives, including identifying new opportunities, overseeing proposal development, and participating in high-level client presentations and negotiations. Look to secure standalone cost management opportunities.
  • Manage a team of cost managers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure high-quality service delivery.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, serving as a key point of contact for assigned accounts.
  • Deliver comprehensive cost management services for fit out projects, including cost planning, estimating, value engineering, procurement advice, and contract administration.
  • Provide expert cost advice throughout the project lifecycle, from initial feasibility studies to project completion.
  • Identify and mitigate cost-related risks to ensure projects remain within budget and on schedule.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in cost management for fit out projects.
  • Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of the cost management service line within the fit out sector.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and forums, enhancing the firm's reputation as a leader in fit out cost management.

Desired skills and experience

  • Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, construction management, or a related field.
  • Professional membership in a relevant organization (e.g., RICS, AACE, or equivalent).
  • 10+ years of experience in cost management, with a focus on fit out projects.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering medium to large-scale fit out projects.
  • Experience in team management and mentoring junior staff.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build client relationships.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office suite.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, contracts, and regulations.
