What you’ll be doing...

Field Marketing plays a critical role in driving regional growth by bridging the gap between Verizon Business corporate strategy and local sales execution. As the Associate Director of Public Sector Field Marketing, you will lead the Outbound Campaign Strategy and Field Orchestration team, acting as the critical link that maximizes sales efficiency and drives predictable pipeline growth.

You and your team will architect data-driven marketing initiatives that elevate brand awareness, deepen customer engagement, and accelerate revenue across various public sector markets. In this highly cross-functional leadership role, you will not only govern localized campaign execution and account-based strategies but also champion our technology stack—ensuring your team masters AI-driven tools to modernize workflows and eliminate friction between Sales and Marketing.

Strategic Leadership & Key Responsibilities:

  • Segment Strategy & Growth: Architect and execute data-driven annual and quarterly field marketing plans aligned to Public Sector sales targets. Develop robust base retention and new customer acquisition strategies, leveraging market trends to optimize resource allocation.

  • Go-to-Market Orchestration: Oversee the strategy and execution of integrated, sub-segment campaigns. Lead high-touch outbound engagement programs designed to build lasting relationships with key public sector stakeholders and decision-makers.

  • Sales Alignment & Enablement: Serve as the strategic nexus between Sales, Product, and Corporate Marketing. Architect the "Internal Feedback Loop," develop integrated GTM playbooks, and equip regional sales teams with the lead intelligence and collateral necessary to accelerate deal velocity.

  • Technology & Modernization: Act as the primary executive advocate for the field marketing tech stack. Lead the rollout of Velocity Selling initiatives, championing AI utilization (including P.AI and co-pilot execution), intent data analysis, and automated workflows to reduce administrative overhead and maximize high-value customer engagement.

  • Product Integration: Partner with segment and product marketing leads to drive field readiness for new feature launches, customer success stories, and solution positioning, ensuring absolute brand consistency across all regional touchpoints.

  • Budget & Resource Optimization: Manage field marketing budgets with a strict focus on lowering Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC) and maximizing ROI through data-driven planning.

What we’re looking for...

You are curious about what people need and want. You enjoy digging through data for insight into opportunities for how we can help our consumers work, play, and connect in new and better ways.

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.

  • Eight or more years of relevant experience required, demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training.

  • Experience in a marketing and/or sales leadership role supporting campaigns for the Public Sector.

  • Relationship management and cross-functional collaboration experience.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

  • Master's degree in a related field or MBA.

  • Experience with both marketing and sales is preferred.

  • Experience leading multiple projects.

  • Strong presentation development and delivery skills.

  • The ability to lead and leverage research to qualify and design new segment marketing and customer programs.

  • Strong negotiation skills.

  • The ability to analyze segment-critical KPI information and translate into proactive and reactive segment marketing strategies.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with strong business acumen.

  • Intellectually curious; appreciates learning new skills and capabilities.

  • The ability to lead a team that provokes insights, best practices, and thought leadership.

  • Ability to be adaptable and organized.

  • A proven track record of establishing and facilitating effective cross-functional partnerships.

  • Model a culture of accountability, transparency, and data-driven decision-making.

Where you’ll be working

In this hybrid role, you'll have a defined work location that includes working from home and a minimum of three days per week in the office, which will be set by your manager. Employees are responsible for maintaining compliance with hybrid work policies.

The salary will vary depending on your location and confirmed job-related skills and experience. This is an incentive based position with the potential to earn more. For part-time roles, your compensation will be adjusted to reflect your hours.

The annual salary range for the location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $114,000.00 - $219,000.00.

The annual salary range for the Illinois location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $125,500.00 - $219,000.00.

The annual salary range for the Maryland location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $125,500.00 - $219,000.00.

The annual salary range for the New York location(s) listed on this job requisition based on a full-time schedule is: $125,500.00 - $219,000.00.
