Provana is seeking an Associate Engineering Manager (AEM) to provide engineering and delivery leadership across ICAP, SonicView, Performance AI, and Voice AI. The role will be responsible for translating product roadmaps and business requirements into scalable, secure, high-quality software while managing and mentoring engineering teams.
This is a hands-on engineering leadership role, requiring a strong combination of technical expertise, delivery ownership, people management, and cross-functional collaboration. The AEM will work closely with Product, AI/ML, QA, DevOps, Security, Implementation and Support teams to deliver roadmap commitments and client requirements.
Key Responsibilities :
- Engineering & Delivery Leadership : Own engineering execution across multi-product delivery, including sprint planning, estimation, technical design, development, testing, releases and production support.
- Technical Leadership : Provide hands-on guidance on application architecture, APIs, integrations, databases, cloud services and AI-enabled solutions. Participate in design and code reviews and drive scalable, maintainable engineering practices.
- Product Development : Partner with Product Management to translate PRDs/BRDs and roadmap initiatives into actionable engineering plans while balancing new development, client requirements, production issues and technical debt.
- AI Engineering : Collaborate with AI/ML teams on LLM, speech analytics and Voice AI solutions, with focus on accuracy, reliability, latency, observability and AI cost optimization.
- Security & Compliance : Champion secure SDLC, secure coding, vulnerability management, access controls and security-by-design. Support SOC 2, HIPAA and customer security requirements applicable to Provana's products.
- Production Ownership : Drive monitoring, incident resolution, RCA, performance optimization and preventive actions to improve product stability and customer experience.
- People Leadership : Manage, mentor and develop engineers through regular 1:1s, technical coaching, goal setting and career development while establishing clear ownership and accountability.
- Cross-functional Collaboration : Work effectively with Product, QA, AI/ML, DevOps, Security, Implementation and Support teams to manage dependencies, risks and releases.
Required Experience & Skills :
- 10 - 15 years of software engineering experience with 2+ years in a Technical Lead, Engineering Lead or Engineering Management role.
- Strong experience developing and delivering enterprise SaaS/cloud products.
- Strong understanding of backend/API development, databases, distributed systems, microservices, CI/CD, cloud architecture and application observability.
- Good understanding of GenAI/LLM integration, conversational AI, speech/voice technologies or AI-enabled applications.
- Experience with enterprise integrations such as CRM/SOR, telephony or contact-center systems is highly desirable.
- Experience with authentication/authorization, SSO, MFA and secure software development practices.
- Ability to lead multiple engineering workstreams and balance roadmap delivery, production stability and technical debt.
- Strong people leadership, communication, stakeholder management and problem-solving skills.
