We are looking for a dedicated individual with project coordinator experience to join our Enterprise Project team as an Associate Enterprise Project Manager located on site at our Corporate Headquarters in Lancaster, SC.

Job Summary:

The Associate Enterprise Project Manager will work closely with the Enterprise Project Managers and Enterprise Senior Project Mangers to manage small scale credit union projects including creation of the project charter, project schedule as well as maintain a project specific documents. Will be responsible coordinating with internal and external resources to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects.


Job Duties:

  1. The Associate Enterprise Project Manager will be responsible for managing small-scale projects. They may be managing multiple small-scale projects at one time depending on business needs.
  2. Work with the Enterprise Project Managers and the business to define project scope and requirements ensuring all relevant internal and external stakeholders are included as necessary.
  3. Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs and ensure all necessary stakeholders are informed of impactful changes.
  4. Report on project status and escalate to management as necessary and ensure project visibility at all levels within the organization.
  5. Proactively engage project sponsors, business owners and stakeholders to ensure a successful project outcome.
  6. With the assistance of the EPMs, coordinate vendor selection, vendor management and the vendor due diligence process for assigned projects.
  7. Work with project stakeholders to ensure necessary execution of test plans for projects are completed as part of the project implementation process.
  8. Create, maintain, and update project documentation in relation to EPM Governance and EPM Framework guidelines.
  9. Work with the business to ensure all project requests are entered accurately into the portfolio management tool and approved prior to project initiation.
  10. For assigned projects, ensure project schedule, RAID Logs and expenses are maintained, and any critical issues are communicated to project stakeholders and management as necessary.
  11. Follow documented change control procedures and processes and ensure project scope is updated if necessary.
  12. Working with the project resources to ensure the team is evaluating legal and compliance impact related to assigned projects.
  13. Due to the critical nature of data security, each employee has the responsibility to protect company data. Employees have legal and regulatory obligations to respect and protect the privacy of information and its integrity and confidentiality. Guidance is contained in the company information security policies. Violations of policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination.
  14. Adhere to the principle of least privilege to reduce the risk of unauthorized access to critical systems or sensitive data by maintaining account permissions to accounts, processes and programs only required to do the job assigned.
  15. Attend conferences and training as required to gain proficiency.
  16. May be required to work nights and weekends to support the needs of projects on occasion.
  17. Comply with Founders’ policies and procedures, as well applicable laws, regulations, and statutes issued by federal agencies such as NCUA and FFIEC, including, but not limited to, GLB and BSA. Employees have legal and regulatory obligations to respect and protect the privacy of information and its integrity and confidentiality.
  18. Perform all other duties as assigned.


Job Specifications:

  • Current experience as a project coordinator or experience as a project resource on large credit union projects.
  • At least two years of previous financial institution experience with a thorough understanding of credit union processes and procedures preferred.
  • Must have the ability to coordinate and direct internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of assigned projects.
  • Ability to recognize problems and evaluate alternatives to find solutions using a variety of different techniques.
  • Possess excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate and document technical information to non-technical audiences.
  • The successful candidate should demonstrate skills in leading projects ensuring project due dates are met with appropriate follow-up and reporting.
  • Experience in utilizing project-related software like Smartsheet and Microsoft Project is preferred; training will be provided for the qualified candidate.
  • Associate Enterprise Project Manager must have the ability to work with the project team to thoroughly document, research and resolve project related questions or concerns.
  • Candidate must demonstrate the ability to lead meetings and teams comprised of vendors, technical and non-technical peers, and business owners.
  • CAPM or PMP certification preferred or must attain certification within 18 months of hire.
  • Experience or participation with the creation of business requirements
