Summary
Drafts wills, reviews legal documents, and assists with estate planning client meetings in Singapore; requires meticulous attention to detail and basic legal document handling.
Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and client-focused Associate, Estate Planning to join our Wills & Custody team. This role is suitable for candidates who are interested in Will drafting, estate planning, client advisory work, and document review. You will receive on-the-job training in Will drafting, estate planning processes, client communication, and attestation procedures. Candidates from non-legal backgrounds who are meticulous, willing to learn, and keen to build a career in estate planning are welcome to apply.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft Wills based on clientinstructions.
• Check and vet submitted documents for accuracy and completeness.
• Liaise with estate planners and clients regarding Will drafts and revisions.
• Meet with estate planners andclients virtually and in-person whenever necessary.
• Interpret and understand instructions, and accurately transpose them intodraft documents.
• Prepare final documents, including Wills and supporting documents.
• Assist in the attestation process, including signing as a witness.
• Prepare invoices for services rendered.
• Handle printing, scanning, and document management.
• Process and verify proof of payment.
• Perform other ad-hoc administrative duties as required.
• Work closely with internal team members and cross-functional departments.
• Added Advantage: Able to verbally translatethe contents of the Will to clients in a language they understand.
Requirements:
• A minimum of a Degree in any discipline.
• Excellent command of English (proficiency in other languages is an advantage,especially for translation).
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling documents.
• Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and general computer literacy.
