Associate Executive Recruiter

GENERAL SUMMARY

As an Associate Executive Recruiter & Research Partner, you play a critical role in supporting Providence's executive recruiting function through a blend of recruitment execution, executive sourcing, and talent intelligence. This role serves as a developmental pathway into senior executive recruiting, providing exposure to all phases of the executive search process while building expertise in candidate identification, market research, talent mapping, and executive assessment.

You will lead select leadership searches while partnering closely with the Head of Executive Recruiting, Senior Executive Recruiters, and the Sourcing & Research team. Success in this role requires strong research capabilities, intellectual curiosity, relationship-building skills, and the ability to transform market insights into recruiting strategies that help Providence attract exceptional leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Executive Search Research & Talent Mapping

  • Conduct proactive talent mapping, market intelligence, and organizational research to identify executive and leadership talent across healthcare and adjacent industries.
  • Develop target company lists, organizational maps, succession pipelines, and competitive talent analyses to inform search strategies.
  • Research industry trends, executive movement, and talent market dynamics to support recruiting leadership and hiring executives.

Executive Candidate Sourcing

  • Build and maintain robust pipelines of executive and leadership talent through networking, referrals, market research, and direct sourcing techniques.
  • Identify and engage passive candidates for executive and hard-to-fill leadership positions.
  • Utilize sourcing technologies, professional networks, and research methodologies to uncover diverse and highly qualified leadership talent.

Full-Cycle Recruitment for Assigned Searches

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment efforts for designated leadership positions, including intake consultations, sourcing strategy development, candidate assessment, interviewing, and offer facilitation.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to hiring leaders throughout the recruitment process.

Executive Search Project Support

  • Partner with senior executive recruiters on C-suite and executive-level searches by supporting candidate development, talent research, market assessments, and search execution.
  • Contribute to position specifications, candidate evaluation summaries, search updates, and executive search presentations.

Candidate Assessment & Relationship Management

  • Conduct candidate screening and assessment conversations focused on leadership capabilities, cultural alignment, career motivations, compensation expectations, and relocation considerations.
  • Develop meaningful relationships with executive talent and maintain engagement throughout the search process.

Internal Talent & Succession Planning

  • Support talent review and succession planning efforts through internal talent identification, leadership pipeline analysis, and readiness assessments.
  • Partner with Talent Management and HR leaders to increase visibility of internal executive talent.

Operational Excellence

  • Maintain accurate search documentation, candidate records, market intelligence, and recruiting activity within recruitment systems.
  • Track pipeline activity, search progress, sourcing effectiveness, and candidate outcomes to support continuous improvement.

Experience Requirement

Required: Bachelor's degree in business or healthcare administration or equivalent and 2 years of experience in leadership recruiting, talent research, talent sourcing, recruitment coordination, or a combination thereof.
